About Us

My thanks to Robert Campbell who took this shot of yours truely, during one of our British Wildlife workshops.

I am the one behind the red head …. ‘Tufty’.

If you were young in the 1970’s you might remember Tufty the Squirrel with his mates - Minnie Mole, Willy Weasel, Harry Hare, Bobby Brown Rabbit, with Mrs Fluffytail and Policeman Badger

Here is a link to a reminder …. Tufty

From Then to Now

Hi There,

From my first camera as a young school boy, was a very cheap plastic toy which cost less than film to put in it; to the present day array of digital options, I have always enjoy photography as a hobby and a means to escape and relax.

I like to keep my kit reasonably simple trying to limit what I carry and enjoy shooting both digital & 35mm film, plus experimenting with pinhole photography.

Working on military helicopter sighting systems during my time in the Army and instructing on afterwards, started my interest with infra-red photography and thermal imagery.

Since the 1990’s I worked part time at a number of evening classes and college, helping many aged between 8 to 80+, on the start of their journey with photography.

I now run my own small photography training business with both practical sessions, in-person and on-line.

I feel privileged that so many of my past students remain in touch and allow me to share in their photography adventures …. a BIG “Thank You” to each and every one of you.

“Yes” …. I still tell the same jokes and “yes” …. the answer to the sum is still “12” .... and of course I am looking even younger than I am in the photo above!

Dave.
