Workshop Levels
Each workshop is given a level to indicate the prerequisite of photography experience required, for those attending. This is to ensure the workshop is at the right level for you and that you will gain the most from your training.
The levels a workshop may have as a prerequisite are - Entry; 1; 2 or Any.
Level - Any
These workshops are for any level of experience and are normally made up of students at different levels of experience, from total beginner onwards.
Small group sizes ensures the instructor has plenty of time for group demonstrations / instruction and also individual coaching.
Level - Entry
For those new to digital photography; perhaps converting from traditional 35mm film photography; or have been away from photography for a while and wish to have some refresher training; Entry level workshops are designed for your level of experience.
Level - 1
Some workshops require that you have some level of experience before attending and these are suitable for students who have attended the 'Digital Photography, An Introduction - Module 1' workshop; or have self-studied/studied elsewhere to a similar level.
For these workshops, you should be able to carry out the following on your camera:
* Select the camera shooting modes for Aperture priority / Aperture value (A/Av); Shutter priority / Time Interval (S/Tv; and Manual (M).)
* Select the appropriate aperture size for a shallow and deep depth of field.
* Select the appropriate shutter speed to capture a slow and a fast moving subject.
* Select a suitable ISO setting for the lighting conditions.
* Use the aperture, shutter and ISO settings, to obtain a correctly exposed image.

Level - 2
Some workshops require that you have an additional level of experience before attending and is suitable for students who have attended the 'Digital Photography, An Introduction - Module 2' workshop or have studied elsewhere to a similar level.
For these workshops, you should be able to carry out the following on your camera:
* All the actions listed above as a prerequisite for a 'Level - 1' workshop.
* Select the various Focus Mode options such as, Single-servo AF (AF-S); Continuous-servo AF (AF-C); and Manual focus (MF).
* Select the Focus Point selections such as, Single-point AF; Dynamic-area AF; and a particular focus point when in Manual focus.

Please Note
Although required levels will be refreshed as a summary overview, there is not the time to teach them. This would also be unfair to those attending who are at the correct level of experience for a particular workshop.
